Aura

Karen is different from the other when you look at her performance. AKB48 Group have many member and if we count of them that a few of them is good at dancing. When we look member that good in singing is less than member that good in dancer. The number of member that good in singing and dancing we can count them by number of finger. If we put Karen among the member who good in singing and dancing, we will know how her different from other. Maybe is kind of thing that called aura, when her perform on stage she can reach our heart because good performance cannot seen by eyes, good song cannot hear by ear but by our heart. When you judged their performance don`t position you because she is your oshimen and look only in one way of thinking but give fair judgement by your mind and soul not your emotion. Her performance can make the show sometime more better than original performance like in "Yokaze no Shiwaza","Himawari", or "Temodemo no Namida". Her character of perform that always calm on stage also make her performance good. Even if she just one line of lyric how he he can change the whole of song to be better and her voice is very clearly to be listen between voice of some people. She also can make song that I can said NG song like "Tsendere" to become good song with her character (I`ll explain later). That why Karen has something  special that not everyone have that can make her performance always good.

Dance

Talk about Karen dance I think her dance is good even her not to confident with it. Sayaka said that Karen dance always have emotion so she like it. Karen like energetic dance that can be seen from her audition or dance video that she upload on G+. Energetic dance somehow most suit her than the other, the first amaze about her dance was when I watched "Seifuku Resistence" as under of Itano, you can watch her movement is very emphatic and the detail is good. From reguler performance she always put her best that you can seen how her performance is very lively because of emotion that her display in every performance. Eventhough her is not to athletic that can be main power to support dance (powerful stamina like Yuko or Tano) her always training very hard to perform her best on stage. If you remember from her 15th birthday letter from Sayaka, her tell that Karen always make effort to remember choreography quickly and train it very hard when anytime she demand to sudden replace from other member that can not perfrom from when she still kenkyusei. When she still kenkyusei she make many under from member that cannot perform and her do it very well and some of them better than original unit. Someone said that her might be succesor of Yuko if there is no Jurina. That also prove that she will be a star if she perform on stage that why when someone ask Yuko the member that her support after her graduate one of them is Iwata Karen. Lack of confidence of Karen must be solved by appreciated herself and train to make her dance better and better not only by learn of difficult dance (like uza) but also variety of dance (to make better dance not always by hard dance but also slow/traditional dance taht required detail and how to move smothly). If her doing the training very well her dance will become more better because we know in reguler senbatsu, some of them is very not atheletic type (Rena, Annin, Paruru, Kojima) but still can keep to other.

Voice

That`s not word that fit to how great Karen voice is. Her voice is very amazing especially when she sing a song. Like jokes from "when god make someone series" someone says that God give her a voice that make even god amaze. The jokes is actually right, when she singing a song the turn to great song eventhough it just ordinary song or ever bad song (I will give explanation detail in later post in segment song). Alot of people have ackonwledged that Karen voice is very good. Her character of her voice is very soft when she sing that different from ordinary of her talk. She is born singer which means eventhough she not training a lot her voice is still good, different case from ordinary singer that cannot reach level of maximum level singer although they train very hard. That why if Karen get appropriate training she can be profesional singer that have skillfull technique.

Despite her natural voice is good, her have plus point that don`t every singer have that is she can put soul to her song so the song like live. Good song dont have to perfect in technique(Technique must also be acquired by singer), but how the song can be transfer from singer to listener. Song is not something just to put word, note, music, etc but also how to communicate between people to God dan people to people.Everytime when she perform on stage, she always look amazing because of it or it just listen her singing it can make our heart comfort because the song through to heart and someone called it soul stirring song. Performance of her is not only good of hear voice but also supported by good choreography of her in addition she allways calm on the stage.

Her voice also have wide interval that you can look in slow song (Romance kakurenbo, Yokaze no shiwaza), medium (Temodemo no namida, himawari), or high (Kagami no naka no jean de arc, Hana wa Saku, Mushi no Balad , Guren no Yumiya [At this song she like rocker]
Song is not the only way we to see good voice of her, but she is is also good in narrator or seiyuu. When she doing 2 kind of thing, her using low soft voice that very suit kind of job. In seiyuu AKB0048 that she play role of nagisa and do it very well to keep charater like live. As narrator in NHK his voice can reach people heart so viewer can understand how they feel when they experience it..

Beside her normal speak, she have one kind thing of voice that is when she perform mandoku especially when act as boy. Ypu also can see Karen man voice when she sing Guren no Yumiya

Mandoku

Mandoku is new style of reading manga that introduced by Karen. This style is very interesting to watch. Many people think because of it she get role in seiyuu but actually when she audition in seiyuu AKB0048 she is still very shy and very nervous in front of a lot of people. I think his voice is very soft as narrator and the reason she get role in seiyuu is because of the big development in her from start of audition.

This is from AKBest 10 in AKBingo 239, when ranking 2 announced the result is Iwata Karen "mandoku" the other member is not know the meaning of mandoku. So the first time she perform mandoku is about "Kuroko Basket".

This is Lucky girl ranking 2014 from AKBingo 272, when Shimada-san tell that because of 2 heart lines she has potential to bring tears to people that watch your acting (But actually this not about acting if you know Karen very well this also occur in her performance especially when she singing her song can through to your heart. That is also apply for her personality that very kind). When she told to show the mandoku, she perform story of Shingeki no Kyojin when Eren transform into titan.

This is from Anta dare special episode shingeki no kyojin, In this mandoku she perform multiple role at the story. This video show her quality is very good at acting. The act is very real like the original. Her show is very awesome and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Karen act is good that also writen at sousenkyou book profile that among AKB48 member her act is to class. From palm reader she said suit to be good actress and if you have been watched like video above you must agree. When she act, she always ensoul her role so anything role she play it will turn out to live as original and in addition for her role she always put all of her effort to suit her role.

Karen have hobby that is very common for boy that is playing guitar. Recently her uploaded g+ video about her playing guitar very populer. First time I know her playing guitar is in the AKB48 Konto (31,33), that i though her play is nice eventhough is mixed with comedy (American style).

Let`s start with the moment of audition AKB48 of Iwata Karen.

This video taken from AKBingo 260, AKBingo team make surprise to broadcast the audition video of Iwata Karen. She look very shocked to hear that because there is no relationship with her from question before. (If you look the palm of Karen become red it shows that how white her skin is). In audition she sing "Fuyu no Uta{Winter Song}" by Kiroro. She sing it very well eventhough yo cannot hear all her singing because of comment from other. But, if your carefully her singing very beautiful, full of emotion and honest from her heart. If you never see her before, we`ll think that she is mature woman (like always said from other member and also in this video tomu said Karen fake her age) eventhough her still 12. That also shows that her singing quality is very good at 12 years old. Other member that watched the video also said that her singing is very good.
